Gear up in your team colours and come on down for a fun family day out, with live music, children’s activities, food and beverage stalls and, of course, the big match between Hobart’s music and community radio icons.
With the original Reclink Community Cup in Melbourne undoubtedly one of the most anticipated events on the football, music and charity calendars – Hobart Reclink Community Cup follows suit with stellar lineups for entertainment, players, and personnel!
The Reclink Community Cup celebrates Australia’s dynamic music and community broadcasting sectors all whilst raising funds to help Reclink Australia provide sporting and art opportunities for disadvantaged Australians.
Kicking off the Hobart Reclink Community Cup will be a launch and fundraiser on Friday 20 July, at Republic Bar & Cafe. Tickets are only $8 on the door, from 8:30PM, and the bands feature plenty of the Van Diemen Dogs; The Lawless Quartet, Elvis Christ, Feed Rick, Babylon Howl, and Lunar Rampage will all take to the stage in support of this much-loved community football match.
Hobart Reclink Community Cup
Featuring: Dallas Frasca - Money for Rope - Tim & Scott
Performers and bands on the day will include Dallas Frasca, Money For Rope, and Tim & Scott. The Hobart Community Cup will again pit some of the state’s best musicians and largest media personalities against each other in a football match of highly questionable skills and standards!Watch the Van Diemen Dogs (musos!) take on the Ramonas (media!) in what will no doubt be another full day of family friendly fun and footy, with proceeds going to support Reclink Australia's sport and recreation programs for disadvantaged Australians around the country!
Since 1993 the Melbourne Reclink Community Cup has attracted the who’s who of the radio and music industries that give their time (and bruises) to raise awareness and funds for Australia’s most disadvantaged.
From humble beginnings in 1993, the Melbourne event now attracts more than 10,000 people and raises more than $150,000 for Reclink Australia annually.
The event’s success has been replicated in Sydney, Adelaide, and Fremantle, with Hobart and Brisbane joining the party for 2016 and Canberra in 2017.
